This page documents the opt-in for the Lake Geneva Passport pass delivery text message program, so anyone, whether a customer or a carrier reviewer, can see the exact consent control without starting a purchase.
Where consent is collected
Consent is collected on one form, on our own website: https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/sms-opt-in. The form has a mobile number field and a single consent checkbox that is never pre-checked, with the full disclosure printed beside the checkbox and links to the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy directly under it.
You can open the live opt-in form right now, with no purchase and no login, and see the exact control and language.
Customers reach the form three ways, all identical:
- On the order confirmation page shown immediately after purchase, which stays on screen until the customer chooses to open their pass.
- From the "Text me this link" button in the purchase confirmation email.
- By opening https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/sms-opt-in directly.
Text delivery is optional and is not required to purchase. Every buyer receives the activation link by email regardless, so a text is never the only way to reach a purchased pass. Our payment page collects no phone number; the only place we ever ask for one is this opt-in form.

The disclosure shown at the consent checkbox
Reproduced verbatim, exactly as it renders beside the checkbox (disclosure version 2026-08-11):
Text me my pass activation link. Lake Geneva Passport will text your pass activation link to the number above, plus a resend each time you request one. Message frequency varies: typically 1 message per purchase, plus 1 per resend request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Text delivery is optional and is not required to purchase.
What we send
Lake Geneva Passport will text your pass activation link to the number you provide, plus a resend of that link when you request one.
We do not send promotional or partner-offer texts on this program. These are the exact message templates, with the activation token shown as [TOKEN]:
- Lake Geneva Passport: Your pass is ready. Activate: https://app.lakegenevapassport.com/activate?token=[TOKEN] Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
- Lake Geneva Passport: Your pass link: https://app.lakegenevapassport.com/activate?token=[TOKEN] Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
- Lake Geneva Passport: You are subscribed to pass delivery texts. Msg freq varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
- Lake Geneva Passport: You are unsubscribed and will get no more texts. Your pass stays available by email. Reply START to rejoin.
- Lake Geneva Passport: Pass help: lowell@lakegenevapassport.com. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You can also email lowell@lakegenevapassport.com. The pass activation link is always emailed as well, so opting out of texts never blocks access to a purchased pass, and an email resend can be requested any time from the resend page.
How we handle mobile numbers
No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your number with service providers who help deliver messages on our behalf, such as Twilio and Stripe, solely for that purpose.
Full program terms are on our SMS Terms page, and data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.
Message flow summary
This is the description of the opt-in we file with the mobile carriers, reproduced here so the registration and this page cannot disagree:
Consent is collected on a web form at https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/sms-opt-in, on the Lake Geneva Passport website. The customer enters their mobile number and ticks a single checkbox that is not pre-checked. The full disclosure is printed beside that checkbox: "Text me my pass activation link. Lake Geneva Passport will text your pass activation link to the number above, plus a resend each time you request one. Message frequency varies: typically 1 message per purchase, plus 1 per resend request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Text delivery is optional and is not required to purchase." Links to the SMS Terms (https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/sms-terms) and Privacy Policy (https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/privacy) sit directly under the checkbox. Customers reach this form three ways, all showing the same control and language: on the order confirmation page displayed immediately after purchase, which stays on screen until the customer chooses to open their pass; from a "Text me my pass link" link in the purchase confirmation email; and by opening https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/sms-opt-in directly. A reviewer can open https://www.lakegenevapassport.com/sms-opt-in without purchasing to see the exact control. Text delivery is optional and is not required to purchase. Every buyer receives the activation link by email regardless, so a text is never the only way to reach a purchased pass. Only transactional pass-delivery messages are sent on this program, never marketing. No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
